I met a young lady with a dome-shaped body with six short legs. She was so beautiful, her scarlet red Hubsch Gown with black patterns on its gave a Hollywood celebrity feel. I watched her closely and noticed that she opted for minimal make-up to show off her natural beauty. She might be so busy, maybe flying down for Oscar’s red-carpet event. This much-loved critter is also known as Ladybird, ladybugs, and ladybird beetle.
Ladybird Beetle
They come in many different colours and patterns, but the most familiar in our terrain is shiny, red and black stripes ladybird. In many cultures, they’re considered good luck. They are pretty, graceful and harmless to humans. The farmers love them because they eat aphids and other plant-eating pests. The ladybird’s bright colors act as an important defense mechanism, warning animals they’d best not to eat them. These brilliant bugs have another trick to avoid danger, too – remain still and pretend to be dead. Birds are ladybugs’ main predators, but they also fall victim to frogs, wasps, spiders and dragonflies.

These Incredibles live happily in many different habitats, including forests to suburbs. They are most active during spring and summer. We can see these incredible insects fluttering around or walking on the leaves of plants. When the weather turns colder in autumn, they look for a warm place to hibernate inside the rotting logs, or under the rocks. They like to group, these hibernating colonies can sometimes contain thousands of ladybirds.
